Elite Transit Solutions Certified Great Place to Work for 2nd Consecutive Year
Pittsburgh, PA – Elite Transit Solutions (ELITE), a premier logistics service provider in the U.S. commercial transportation industry, has been certified a “Great Place to Work” for 2018. This is the second consecutive year that ELITE has been awarded the certification.
“Providing every member of the ELITE team with a great place to work is a responsibility that I take very seriously and pursue with great passion,” said Michael Johnson, CEO of Elite Transit Solutions. “In early 2018 we opened a new office in downtown Pittsburgh that was built to cultivate an invigorating corporate community, promote comradery, and encourage our ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude.”
To become certified, a company must first be nominated. Nominated companies, such as ELITE, are subject to a rigorous survey of the company’s leadership and employees, as well as an assessment of the organization’s structure and corporate culture. Once the results are evaluated, certification is then awarded only to those organizations whose workplaces shine brightest, and which characterize a uniquely great place to work. Other notable companies receiving the hallowed honor include American Express, Mercedes Benz, Whole Foods, and Marriott.
The certification echoes the company’s success with its employee relations programs. ELITE boasts an industry-leading retention rate of 88%, a remarkable achievement in the freight management industry, which is notorious for high turnover
“I could not be prouder to be certified as a Great Place To Work,” added Johnson. “Over the last 12 months, ELITE has experienced explosive growth, and growth comes with challenges. One of the most important challenges was to listen to our employees and hear their needs to ensure that as the company grows, their hopes for a long, fulfilling career at ELITE continue to be met. I, personally, will continue to do everything possible to provide our amazing staff a “Great Place to Work” for many years to come.”

On the three-month anniversary of the federal government’s electronic logging device (ELD) mandate taking effect, we at ELITE decided to take a look at what we’ve learned from the legislation to-date. Spot market pricing will be affected for the foreseeable future. ELD’s signal need for all parties to make long-needed changes. ELD devices are a headache for many drivers and hurting carriers.
